On behafe of our client - a leading company in the design, construction and maintenance of power generation and energy conversion plants and air quality control systems, we are searching for a Unit Controller.

The Unit Controller analyses and reports on Units financial position’s versus forecast and budget allowig clear understanding of financial information through the hierarchy using various finance tools.MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Management Reporting:• Ensure all business reporting deadlines are achieved on time in full;• Carry out comprehensive analysis and control of unit results monthly;• Ensure accurate and reliable financial information and report the same in a clear understandable way to the management and partners;• Ensure Inter group positions are reconciled with other Reporting Units;Planning and Budgeting:• Actively contribute with analyses and data input during the annual Budget and 3-year plan exercise and all Forecasts as required;• Review and report Risks and Opportunities on Key Performance Indicator’s in Unit’s Forecast and Budgets.Financial Processes & Systems:• Seek for constant process improvements within and outside the finance function and define new processes in coordination with Business Finance;• Ensure proper implementation and monitoring of finance related Business, Sector or Corporate processes and initiatives.Cost control:• Review Cost centre controller reports & Overheads by function and nature report before submission;• In the absence of a Cost Centre Controller, ensure correct cost centre allocations and recovery rates being regularly assessed, Tender cost reviewed and not exceeding approved Budgets;• Challenge the Reporting Units cost base and act as main driver in cost saving initiatives;• Control and report on Trade Receivable Overdues;• Control units Capital expenditure and ensure any new investments are applied for and approved through the correct Delegation of Authority;• Control units Bonds status (incl. new applications) and ensure any expired bonds are returned;
Cerinte
IDEAL CANDIDATE:• Accounting or Finance Controlling qualification;• Proven academic abilities;• Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience;• Sound IT tools practice;• Sound accounting knowledge and experience (e.g. Chartered Accountancy qualification, Some accountancy practice);• Knowledge of IFRS and implication on construction contracts (IAS11);• Experience in Controlling activities (e.g. Calculation of recovery rates, Cost Centre accounting, Cash Flow Management);• Principles of Internal Controls;• Experience in Management accounting and analysis;• Understanding of accounting and reporting systems;• Fluency in English.PROFILE:• Integrity;• Communication;• Active team player;• Deadline driven;• Transparent;• Business Partner;• Pro-active;• Process driven;• Result-oriented.
