Overview:The Marketing Manager is a critical position in the company. The job holder will be responsible for critical marketing and web site content areas that contribute directly to the success of the company. As the company is small, there will be a variety of other responsibilities included as well.Key Responsibilities:• Candidate acquisition. Design and execute programs to bring candidates from member schools to register on the jobs board. This includes programs through member schools listservs as well as independently.• Content development. Find columnists for the website, negotiate their relationship with Bio Career Center, and track their flow of articles through editing onto the site.• E-mail marketing. Design and execute employer email programs to maximize business potential.• Startup Business. As a startup business, all team members will need to take on administrative responsibilities outside their area of functional responsibility.

Ideal candidate:Bio Career Center’s essential hiring principle is to identify and hire smart, motivated people who thrive in the teamwork setting of a fast-growing company. 5+ years experience in marketing required. Excellent spoken English and English grammar and spelling, communication, negotiation, project management, and organizational skills a necessity. Complete comfort with Word, Excel, various internet browsers, bulk e-mail, and the ability to learn new software systems critical. College degree required.
